Clerix Data Collection R&D

We make undocumented sources collectable.

Clerix R&D is a data collection research team working across client software, private endpoints, wire protocols, and extraction pipelines. We turn opaque sources into resilient collectors and verified, typed data that downstream systems can trust.

From an unknown source to a production-grade collector.

Our process is built for undocumented, changing sources. We isolate evidence from the source, recover the smallest useful collection model, attack its assumptions, and transfer a hardened collector into production with tests and observability.

01 / OBSERVE

Expose the source

Instrument the client, wire, session state, timing, and response boundaries of the target source; separate observed facts from assumptions and unknowns.

02 / MODEL

Recover the collection rules

Build the smallest deterministic collector that reproduces the source's protocol, session dependencies, cursor logic, and the exact path from request to extracted data.

03 / FALSIFY

Attack the collector

Introduce version drift, time skew, reordered events, malformed state, concurrency, and partial source failure to find the collector's limits before the source does.

04 / TRANSFER

Ship the collector

Deliver the hardened collector with fixtures, contract tests, canaries, fallback rules, extraction observability, and runbooks alongside the production data feed.

Collection research that survives contact with production.

Our work does not end at a one-off scrape. Every investigation produces a running collector, verified extracted data, and the engineering controls that keep the feed reliable as the source changes.

Deliverable / A Working collectors

Deterministic clients, recovered protocol rules, session logic, cursor strategies, and explicit boundaries of what the source exposes.

Deliverable / B Collection harnesses

Controlled clients, sanitized wire traces, deterministic replay of source responses, failure fixtures, and experiments that reproduce every extraction.

Deliverable / C Production safeguards

Source canaries, schema gates, collector health scoring, quarantine policies, fallbacks, and alerts that catch drift before data quality slips.

Deliverable / D Verified extracted data

Typed records with field-level provenance, documented assumptions, contract tests, and runbooks that make the collected data reviewable and maintainable.

Bring us the source
nobody has collected.

We investigate hard data collection problems at the boundary of client software, private endpoints, and extraction pipelines. If a source refuses standard collectors, a protocol changes without warning, or the extracted data cannot be trusted, our R&D team turns the unknowns into a working collector and verified data.
